A real treat for cinephiles! Pumzi is a Kenyan sci-fi short directed by Wanuri Kahiu with themes of water conservation, ecological degradation and Afro-futurism. From 2010, run time: 21 Min. We've got that on a double bill with Kelly Reichardt's meditative western First Cow. 2019. Run time: 121 Minutes.

The next film in our series is Dance, Girl, Dance from 1940. This movie's directed by Dorothy Arzner (the only female director working in Hollywood at the time). A comedy-drama about rival dancing showgirls starring Maureen O'Hara and a pre-I Love Lucy Lucille Ball! Run time: 90 min.
