Veterans’ Coffee Social and Vietnam 50th Commemoration Pinning Ceremony

Join us in commemoration this Monday, before the library opens, for a gathering of local veterans and other neighbors. Pay respects, give thanks, and meet community members who have served. Additionally, we’re honored to be joined by Bob Stock, Veterans Outreach Specialist with South Burlington Vet Center, who will ceremoniously pin all veterans and/or their survivors who served in the United States Armed Forces between 1955 and 1975. They needn’t have been “boots on the ground” in Vietnam. We’ll honor all who served during this time with a lapel pin authorized by Congress, established by the secretary of defense, and launched by President Barack Obama in 2012. If you served during this time and haven’t yet received this commemoration, we urge you to attend. And if you’d just like a caffeinated visit with the community, that works too!
