The Return of DJ Diplodocus and Dance Through the Decades

Leave it to the oh-so-paleontological summer-reading theme to entice the Pierson Library’s house DJ out of the primordial ooze to blow minds and accelerate heart rates with another one of their world-famous Dance Through the Decades Dance-a-thon, and sister, this is going to be the best one yet. From 11:00am to 12:00pm our DJ will be cueing up your favorite swing, crooner, and big band songs of the 1930s. From 12:00 to 1:00, they’ll be playing 1940s hits. 1:00 to 2:00pm, the doo-wop and rockabilly of the 1950s, and so on and so forth into the night, culminating with a final set of sweat-and-soak sounds of the latest pop chart-toppers of the 2020s at 8:00pm. Come for your favorite decade or stay for the whole big dance-a-thon. There will be visual accompaniments of each decade, food and stretch breaks, and those brave dancers to endure the whole shebang will get a commemorative “I Survived the Pierson Library’s Dance Through the Decades Dance-a-thon” T-shirt. Feel free to dress for your favorite decade. Diplodocus will take requests but only for the decade in question.
