Take It Apart with Deb Sigel
November 8 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Your favorite Taking Things Apart family class is returning to the Pierson Library! Come join in the fun as kids take apart old, unloved appliances and toys to learn how they work. You bring the kids, a responsible adult to stay, and broken stuff to take apart. We provide everything else.
Some things you might bring: Orbital sander, belt sander, toaster, toaster oven, fan,
blender, juicer, mixer, food processor, electric can opener, hair drier, coffee maker,
electric screw driver, electric saw, waffle maker, VCR, walkman, CD/DVD player,
document scanner, CD drive, electric or geared pencil sharpeners, phones (corded &
cordless), mechanical/noisy baby toys, toy laptops, RC cars, cameras, radio, etc….
The older the machine, the better.
Do not Bring: Vacuum cleaners (asthma risk), microwave ovens (zzap), combo
printer-scanners (very difficult), anything Nintendo or iPhone (special tools
required), smoke detectors, mercury thermostats or switches, government property,
e-waste/tower computers/batteries, stolen hardware, weapons.
