Shelburne Annual Pheromone Party with When Harry Met Sally
February 14 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Back by popular demand, the olfactory overload matchmaking bliss that is our pheromone party! Find love via science and gather for cupcakes and romantic comedy! Based on 2010’s match-making events of artist Judith Prays and the research of Swiss Biologist Claus Wedekind, we ask participants to arrive with a Ziploc-bagged or otherwise sealed, t-shirt that they’ve slept in for three nights. The bags will be numbered with only Pierson staff knowing whose pheromone-leaden garment matches which bag. Upon sniffing, participants can take their photo with any odiferously pleasing garment bags. We will all then enjoy cupcakes and a Meg Ryan-Billy Crystal meet-cute. After the film, we will project the photos of the matches. Please call ahead to register and specify whether or not you’re seeking love and/or partnership and if you’re interested in matching with cis men, trans men, cis women, trans women, non-binary folx or any combination of the above. To register, please call the library at 802-985-5124.
