Samhain Oracle Drawing and Ancestor Luncheon

Before the Catholics and the candy companies made it the Halloween we know today, Oct. 31st was Samhain (pronounced SAH-win), a Gaelic festival marking the end of harvest time and the midpoint between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. This was a time when the doorways to other worlds were said to open, allowing in the spirits of the dead and every manner of supernatural being. To honor this time, we will gather for a sandwich lunch (with gluten-free options), setting extra food for our ancestors and drawing oracle cards to gain insights.
