Noontime Poetry Society

The Poetry Society meets and reads its way systematically through whole books of poetry. Participants take turns at the lectern and read aloud the words of poets’ dead, distant, and near alike. In this way, the air is filled with visions, the words enlivened to play their magic upon us. The second half hour is reserved for poetic reflection, general news, and writing exercises.
