Noontime Poetry Reading Society

Every Tuesday from noon to 1, we will meet in one library space or another and we will work our way systematically through whole books of poetry. Taking turns taking the lectern and reading aloud the words of our dead, distant, and near alike. In this way, the air will be filled with visions, the words enlivened to play their magic upon us, and our mouths moved to dancing. The second half hour will be reserved for poetic reflection, general news, and writing exercises. This series to continue indefinitely until there are no new poems to be read aloud on earth, or until we all get sick of this. Whichever happens first.
