Noontime Poetry Reading Society
December 18 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
It’s not too late to join the hottest poetry society in Chittenden County. Nearly every Wednesday, we gather at noontime to cold-read entire poetry collections aloud, basking in the magic of poetry. The second half hour is devoted to poetic works-in-progress, news, and a writing prompt (or “provocation”). This month, we’re finishing up Shel Silverstein’s classic Where the Sidewalk Ends. Past collections have been by Whitman, Rita Dove, Tracy Smith, Seamus Heaney, Charles Simic, etc. What will this intrepid group of poetry fanatics read next? Join to find out.
