Monday Morning Book Club: The Glass Chateau

April 27 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Join us for a discussion of The Glass Chateau by Stephen Kiernan, a moving novel of hope, healing, and the redemptive power of art set in post–World War II France. In the aftermath of the war, Asher, a former Resistance assassin haunted by loss and guilt, wanders through a devastated country searching for purpose. His journey leads him to the Château Guerin, an unlikely sanctuary where damaged survivors find solace by transforming sand into stained glass for France’s shattered cathedrals. As Asher discovers his own talent for the craft, he must navigate hidden identities, lingering resentments, and fragile alliances among the chateau’s residents. Through shared creation and hard-won trust, the novel explores how broken individuals can begin to heal—and help rebuild a broken nation. Copies are available at the first-floor circulation desk. New members are always welcome!
