Less clear are accessible methods for achieving this, let alone choosing and establishing successful plant communities that can benefit our Champlain Valley ecosystems.  In this free public talk and conversation, artist, designer, UVM professor, and Extension Master Gardener Steve Budington offers practical strategies and context for rethinking and re-creating your home landscape. Drawing on visual art and art history, plant and soil science, and landscape design and management strategies; the goal is to provide you with resources, planting best practices, and cultural/poetic context for transforming the space of your lawn into a place you connect with and share with friends and other species.
