Exhibitionists Book Club: Poor Things Screening

It’s a Spooktacular Film Fest & Exhibitionists Book Club crossover event as we screen last year’s Poor Things in anticipation of our discussion of the novel the movie is based on. Directed by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos (Dogtooth, The Favourite, The Lobster) and featuring an all-in, Oscar-winning performance from Emma Stone, Poor Things is, depending on whom you ask, either an artsploitation movie provocation or a daring work of radical feminism (or both?).  No matter what, it’s stylish and original! The perfect cinematic experience to set the stage for our discussion of the novel and the New England Now gallery expedition.
