Death Cafe

Death Cafes offer a welcoming space to gather and increase awareness of death so we can make the most of our finite lives. Moderated by Shelburne resident Nick Marconi, these intimate monthly discussions provide an opportunity to share stories, voice concerns, ask questions, and reflect together on this universal part of life. Conversations vary depending on who’s in the room. They may explore existential or philosophical themes, or shift toward practical topics such as DNR forms, wills, and rights of survivorship. While these discussions can be challenging, open and heartfelt dialogue helps build community and fosters a sense of connection that enriches our lives in the present.
