Coffee and Conversations: Don’t Talk About It!

Today our band of merry conversers turns their thoughts and hearts toward the taboo. Not taboo topics in and of themselves, but the notion of an off-limits itself. Are there things that we are best not to speak about? Best not to think, even?  What about hate words? What is the difference between free speech and being a jerk? Personal liberty, freedom of thought and language, these notions are endorsed by most Americans regardless of politics and yet both political parties seem to increasingly call an off-limits. Is that good or not so good and if there is a conversational taboo where do you think it is? Come fire your day up with a cup of joe and a thoughtful, respectful discussion amongst neighbors!
