As representative of this legendary directors ouvre we’re going with the middle period work, Polyester. His first studio picture after a string of punk shockers, Polyester retains his outrageous wit and transgressive sensibilities and add 50’s heartthrob Tab Hunter to his roster of Dreamlanders (showcased here are Mink Stole, Edith Massey and, of course, Divine!) Divine plays maltreated housewife Francine Fishpaw in this hilarious send-up of melodramas. In Odorama no less!
