Rebecca Padula’s At the Edge of Town presents moody oil and cold wax paintings inspired by New England’s rural spaces\, where memory and abstraction meet. Photographer Jeffrey Trubisz invites viewers On the Trail\, sharing images of wild places that reflect both literal paths and life’s journeys. Painter Laurel Waters presents bold landscapes in oil\, full of color and movement. Ceramic works by Barbara Murphy showcase hand-built pottery inspired by nature\, with varied firing techniques that yield richly unexpected results. And rounding out the exhibition is Night Sky Art by Pre-K and first-grade students from Shelburne Community School\, created through an interdisciplinary exploration of the cosmos. Together\, these works celebrate curiosity\, place\, and the many ways we experience and interpret the world around us. Join us for an afternoon of community and creativity!

SUMMARY:Naturally Distracted: Creative Writing Workshop with Author Rob Broder
DESCRIPTION:Naturally Distracted is a Creative Writing Workshop designed to clarify and destigmatize Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). People with ADHD often face emotional\, social\, and academic challenges. Staying calm\, focused\, and productive can be difficult\, particularly while trying to minimize frustration for friends\, family\, and oneself. Participating students explore ADHD as it relates to their own experiences and those of their peers\, gaining insight into why certain activities\, such as creative writing\, can encourage hyper-focus\, while others may feel tedious or overwhelming. It is the vision of the Naturally Distracted workshop to empower all students\, at any age\, to embrace and live in their own uniqueness without the judgment of others or carrying the shame they might put on themselves. This workshop is open to students in grades 5–12 and features a creative writing prompt with time for sharing and discussion. Free pizza will be provided for attendees.

In the film\, hypnotism sends a team of street-tough New York city kids (all played by adults) out to the 17th-century seas and the perilous eye of Blackbeard the pirate!
