DESCRIPTION:This fall the Pierson library is getting its yoga on with an ongoing series of free classes geared toward everyone! Whether you’re interested in healthy aging\, a hybrid dance form\, or a smooth vinyasa flow\, we’ll have something for everyone! Three different instructors\, three different class types\, each class meeting four times total over the next few months. The Let Your Yoga Dance series is a dance-like movement class guided by the chakras (the body’s energy centers). This class will be led by certified instructor Heather Preis and is appropriate for all levels of fitness and physical ability. Wear clothes you are comfortable to dance and stretch in. SUMMARY:Pierson Stretches: Let Your Yoga Dance with Heather Preis
DESCRIPTION:This fall the Pierson library is getting its yoga on with an ongoing series of free classes geared toward everyone! Whether you’re interested in healthy aging\, a hybrid dance form\, or a smooth vinyasa flow\, we’ll have something for everyone! Three different instructors\, three different class types\, each class meeting four times total over the next few months. The Let Your Yoga Dance series is a dance-like movement class guided by the chakras (the body’s energy centers). This class will be led by certified instructor Heather Preis and is appropriate for all levels of fitness and physical ability. Wear clothes you are comfortable to dance and stretch in. This month our art gallery and book club are pairing Erin Morgenstern’s debut novel\, The Night Circus\, with the museum’s exhibit of rarely seen gems from the Webb collection. With folk art paintings\, textiles\, toys\, and trade signs\, this curatorial tour de force will give us much to latch on to when approaching the tale of forbidden love between dueling magicians later this month. We will meet at the entrance of the museum.
