SUMMARY:Unearth a Story: Join our 2026 Summer Reading Program!
DESCRIPTION:It’s summer at the Pierson\, which means it’s time for our annual Summer Reading Program! This year’s theme\, Unearth a Story\, invites you to explore the worlds of paleontology\, archaeology\, and discoveries that uncover stories\, knowledge\, and fun. Beginning June 13\, pick up a reading log and read three or more books. Return your completed log by August 15\, and your name will be entered into our grand prize drawings! Children ages 11 and under who complete and return their reading log will receive a ribbon granting them free admission to the Champlain Valley Fair. Plus\, one lucky winner in each age group (kids\, teens\, and adults) will receive a grand prize basket filled with gift cards\, experiences\, and more!

DESCRIPTION:It’s time to dig into fun! Join us at the Pierson as we kick off our Summer Reading Program 2026 and celebrate the start of a summer filled with discovery and fun! The festivities begin at 1:00pm with a free gem and mineral giveaway (while supplies last)\, plus the debut of our new retro arcade cabinet packed with more than 200 classic video games. At 2:00pm\, get ready to be amazed by a knock-your-socks-off performance from magician Alyx Hilshey. Then\, at 3:00pm\, we’ll keep the fun going with a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream party\, a giant bubble extravaganza\, and a free outdoor concert by local legends The Hokum Brothers. We can’t wait to see you there!
