DESCRIPTION:Winter Pen Pal registrants can now pick up their Pen Pal Packets at the library! Each packet includes pen pal information\, paper\, envelopes\, and suggested writing topics. The library will be mailing letters to Bexley every two weeks\, so once you’ve written your letter\, bring it in and we’ll send it off for you. We encourage everyone to approach this exchange with respect\, curiosity\, kindness\, and an open heart. Please use respectful and appropriate language in your letters. We’re excited for you to connect with your new pen pal from Ohio and hope you enjoy the experience!

SUMMARY:Winter Pen Pals: Open Registration
DESCRIPTION:Stay connected this winter with an out-of-state pen pal! The Pierson Library is partnering with the Bexley Public Library in Bexley\, Ohio for this exciting pen pal program.  \nRegistration is open\, but space is limited! Pen pals are paired by library staff in like age brackets and registrants will receive a packet about their pal on the 22nd. Participants are encouraged to write at two letters over February and March. Letters will be handled by the Pierson Library and mailed to Bexley every two weeks. Our role is to encourage connection between library patrons across states.  \nThe libraries assumes no responsibility for the content of letters sent or actions taken between Pen Pal participants.  Respectful and appropriate language are the expectations\, there is no space for hate speech/derogatory comments. To register\, have a parent see a librarian\, call us at 802-985-5124\, or fill out a registration form online.
