DESCRIPTION:The Pierson Library and the Shelburne Tree Committee invite you to celebrate your appreciation of trees by photographing your favorite tree in town and sharing it with us during the month of May. Simply take a photo of your tree and email it (JPG format) to Jasper at the Pierson Library (Joliver@shelburnevt.org) with the subject line\, “My Favorite Tree in Shelburne.” In your email\, please include your name and\, and if you’re under 18\, your age. Also\, add a brief description of the tree’s location along with a caption explaining why the tree is meaningful to you. If you’re unable to email your photo\, physical copies may be dropped off at the library. Selected tree photos and descriptions will be displayed in the library for the community to enjoy. \n

Pierson’s Youth Advisory presents The Chicken Dance\, a night of chicken-themed revelry\, including\, but not limited to\, buffalo chicken pizza\, Bawklava\, chocolate eggs\, giant inflatable poultry\, and the chance to shake a tail feather and dance the night away with friends. But wait\, there’s more—one lucky attendee will be named “the hen of the house” and bring home THE GOLDEN EGG\, a mysterious and dazzling prize. Disclaimer: Attendees do not need to be chicken enthusiasts to attend.
