SUMMARY:And the Oscar Goes to...Dune: Part 2
DESCRIPTION:The next film in our series of best-picture-hopefuls is Denis Villeneuve’s second part of his big budget adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi classic. Say that five times fast! Picking up with young Paul Atredies when he’s left for dead on the Arrakean sands\, the Villeneuve takes are Hollywood’s favorite adaptations of the psychedelic\, far-future\, eugenics-witch-guild\, space-Jesus-jihad\, desert-eco-science tale but will they give the Oscar to the giant sandworm picture? The spice is life! Formal attire encouraged. Rated PG-13/2hr 46min.
