February 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Acclaimed historian Howard Coffin will give an illuminating lecture on Vermont Women in the Civil War at 7:00pm in the 1927 town hall. With nearly 35,000 of the state’s able-bodied men at war, women took on farming, worked in factories, served as nurses in the state’s military hospitals, and more. Drawing from letters and diaries, Coffin tells their story in their own words, describe life during the Civil War.
