Leila Philip Author Talk: Beaverland

Join Vermont Land Trust, the Pierson, Jericho, Charlotte, Lawrence Memorial and Carpenter-Carse libraries, and the Flying Pig Bookstore for an unforgettable visit with author Leila Philip. Leila is a true multi-hyphenate artist (poet, lyric-essayist, playwright, documentary filmmaker), her latest book, Beaverland, concerns precolonial times when our forests were still being shaped by the titular rodent and the ways in which the fur trade has impacted our waterways. Publisher’s weekly called it “a triumph of nature writing”. Come to the historic Town Hall for a mind-bending good time!
